Friggin Tease!

Modem kinda works, then doesn't, then it does but slowly. I'm told to swap out the modem and when I do I'm given one that is "faster" but really it just doesn't work. Then an over-the-phone technician tells me that I need to separate lines; I know she doesn't know what she's talking about but she'll send someone out on Tuesday. Modem starts to work by itself, crashes, starts flashing like it will work, crashes and then I get home today and it's working just fine. WHAT THE HELL!! I called these tech people to do their check on my modem to make sure it won't crash again. Modem was reset while I held my breath and amazingly it did not crash. I politely told them I will still keep my appointment. If modem has not crashed by Tuesday afternoon THEN I will cancel my technician. I will not be tricked into having to wait another week! Blech! So as much as I need it, want it, crave it...technology sucks. It really does. I'm crossing my fingers that this modem doesn't go crap-face on me after I've cancelled my repair appointment. Heads would most likely roll, and there would definitely be a modem-shaped dent in my wall. The evidence of my frustration on display for all to see. Well, anyone that would go upstairs anyway.

On a much more guaranteed note of satisfaction, Sweeney Todd is being released this Christmas!! I'm tense with anticipation! Tim Burton, you never fail to awe! I can't not have exclamations regarding Tim Burton or his movies! Seriously!!!

The Productive Unproductive

Hooray for making new pics! And boo to me for doing this instead of my project which is due tomorrow. Tsk. I don't think I'll ever learn. But who cares! I've now got a great picture to remind everybody Turkeys before Trees. I know we're all excited for the ever nearing Christmas Holiday, and The Man is down right giddy that there's holiday music on the radio now, but I'd still like to wear my giant buckles and feathers first.

This Isn't Exciting

You'd think there'd be something new and exciting here, but there isn't. What's wrong? I couldn't have possibly run out of things to say... Perhaps I'm just currently without anything interesting worth commenting. That or I'm far more interested in the possibility of a nap. I've rediscovered my love for naps and most often find myself dozing during even the shortest amount of free time. I think I'll blame the weather. My hibernation instincts are kicking in and seem to be taking over. It really is a struggle to make myself do anything once the sun has gone down. Tonight's the night to test the will power. The Mac is charging, the book and chair have been adjusted, the dvd is turning, the radio is tuning, the game is loading... Maybe tonight something will get done. Or maybe I'll just curl up in my newly purchased papazan chair and dream about doing all these things. Insert stretch and yawn here...
