All Systems Go

Oh sweet, sweet connection! How I've missed you!! My internet is up and running. It took a while. I tried to connect at 5:30, but as to be expected "sites were down and updating" and it's was a painful 5 hours before things were finally up and running. I think they do it on purpose... But luckily I had the help of Tal to distract me. We hung curtains up in the bedroom so the morning sun (lovely as it is) won't wake me a 6 am anymore. But sadly, after Tal was gone I resorted into to my anxious hunched state pushing and prodding for my internet to work while growling "REFRESH DAMMIT!" I soon gave up and called the 800 number and played dumb so they guy on the other line would just do it for me. And luckily it only has to be done once and then works on all computers. This event has brought to my attention the lack of jack in the extra room. Fortunately installer guy was nice enough to leave a temporary solution until I figure out how to install one:
Holy mutha! That's a lot of cord! I think I could actually feed this thing all the way down to the far end of the garage if I really felt the need! But it will do for now until a better solution is available.

It is done...

We are completely out and done with the apartment now. It's been 6 days since we brought our life over in a 16' truck and I'm proud to say that our house looks like a house to live in. Definitely not up to my standard of orginization, but at least the very last box was cut down and discarded last night. So, there is no telling when my current email address will expire. The Evil-doers of that particular company say they leave it open for a little while, but can never tell you how long it will last. It could be 7-90 days. The line is definitely cut at the apartment, and our new company isn't coming until Wednesday to hook up my new line. Thank you Panera for your free internet connection. And we have to love our applelicious mac for having the ability for a wireless connection. Pictures to be posted soon. I have my mac and my camera, but to my woeful discovery I do not have anything to bring them together.

Sunset City

My boss took us all out on his boat this past weekend. I've been fighting a head cold all week but wasn't going to let that ruin my day. Unfortunately the head cold has traveled down to my throat. My voice is deeper and quite sultry right now...you know, between the hacking coughs. I'm really glad I got to go. Not everyone gets a chance to see the sunset through the city. I'm beyond glad I was able to get this picture.

My heart is sad and my mind is desperately grasping for the right words, but I have found none that can do justice. "I miss you and will think of you always" just doesn't seem enough...

Mission Accomplished

I have finally downloaded the entire season of Death Note. And thanks to my apple-licious mac it all fits very nicely on two dvd's instead of ten cd's. And it's much easier making labels for fewer discs. I think they came out rather well. Another Friday night and Saturday morning well spent. Wee! Now I get to spend the rest of my day playing the PS3 that Manok has let us borrow. The Man has the coolest friends!
