Going fast is fun. Going really fast is AWESOME! This weekend The Man and I went to NC for the Richard Petty Driving Experience. We got to do a ride along with a race car driver that sped us around the track a few times at 170+ speed. We were going so fast it made my teeth buzz. I posted a few pictures on the flickr album, but since it was a family event I don't have too many pictures without family. Those pictures will be posted on my not so anonymous album. For those of you that can't find it or have lost the site, feel free to email me and I will send you a link. I have two pieces of work in progress from the event. The first is a drawing of Mike's reaction of being able to drive a race car. The second will be *gasp* another video! While I'm waiting to get my hands on the footage taken by the other camera's present I'm in search of a fast pace song to go along with it. It's difficult finding a song that fits. If anyone has any suggestions I warmly welcome them.

Ready...Set...GoSTOP!
Wow. That happened really fast. We put an offer on a townhome and it was accepted the same day. And we've only been at this for a couple of weeks all together. So we didn't get our first choice, that one sold the day after we saw it, but we did get our second choice and for a better price than we thought we would. Cheers to that. To the soon-to-be ex-resident of our soon-to-be new home, I would like to say thanks for not leaving bug spray on the counter, dishes in the sink, or piles of dust swept up in a corner of each room. After getting over our initial shock of your choice for Super Blue Paint and distracting plaid furniture, we did get to realize your place was the best option. Not to mention all the other filth and bug ridden places made your home look like a sanitized treasure. To the other households: I saw a cable box in every one of your homes. It wouldn't kill you to turn on HGTV once in a while for some home selling tips...

The Par and Sub
The Man and I went out for our first go of house-hunting this week. We only saw four, mostly so our realtor could get a feel for what we are looking for. The first place was the best, the second was just like the first but a little more lived in, and the fourth was ok if you don't mind a house full of white berber carpeting...
Did you notice I skipped the third place? I wanted to call a "sell your home" show to give these people some tips. They were nice, but really don't know how to sell their house. I know they are nice people because they were present while we were looking around. They did not politely excuse themselves for a walk around the block to give us a moment, in fact the man of the house was actually talking over the realtor to point out some benefits of the area! And of course there was the slight pressure from him to go look at the bedrooms and so on. I couldn't bring myself to say "No, thank you. I can see very well from the doorway that you have painted all walls and ceilings in this place a dark rust/brown/tub-scum type of color. I'm sure you really don't want me to take a closer look where I will notice the grossness of your bathrooms, stains on your carpet, and the air vent that has fallen off your spotty ceiling to lay amongst a graveyard of dusty insects." I'm sure the odd assortment of furniture and piles of junk that were placed in the most peculiar of places had been put there strategically to cover larger defects. We could not get out of there fast enough. Blech!

Growth
The T-shirt collection doth grow. I have received today my second purchase from Threadless! Check out my new tee's... They are titled Rock Out With Your Cock Out and Who I Am. Wee! New shirts are fun! On a boring note, I also recently bought some nice out-to-dinner clothes, but nobody's interested in blah everyday off the rack clothes.
So I decided to go through all my files and documents and really give my PC a good spring cleaning. It shames me to say it's very obvious I have gleefully thrown the 'rule book' of folders to the wind. I'll be quite lucky if I manage to get all this under control before school starts and I am again without time. So far I've manage to delete over 6GB of files, and for those of you who don't know that's a lot. I did come across this picture taken from one of The Man's birthday meals this year:
It's his signature cheeseburger made happy with ketchup right before the bun and veggies are smashed into cheeseburger's new face and get chomped and devoured. I personally think he should start drawing a worried "I'm about to be eaten" expression...but that's just me.
