I just wanted to share with everyone the monster growth that recently occured on the roof over our deck. One day I happened to look out our upstairs window and said "Woah! That's a monster huge icicle!" Thinking it was the biggest icicle I've had on my home I snapped myself a picture. But as the days went on the thing extended PAST the railing of the deck. That's just a little over 5' long. It lasted for about five days before plumeting to the bushes below.

Whoa. Did you also capture on camera the exact moment of the icicle's plummet into the bushes? Were any small animals impaled?
P.S. I tried to send this comment before, but it looks like it didn't send... wtf?
Unfortunately no. I came home from work and saw that it was gone. I'm sure that, had I been around, I would have felt the earth shudder from the massive impact of its fall.
