We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this weekend in Chicago. And because of this weekend we have decided to celebrate all future anniversaries either at home or in a much warmer climate. We enjoyed a couple different dinners and the Art Museum, but the to's and fro's of our weekend were painfully cold. For anyone who hasn't been, I strongly suggest dinner at the John Hancock building (The Signature Room on the 95th Floor.) It was the first time eithe
r of us had been up there and it was VERY nice. I've seen Chicago from the Sears Tower before, but never at night. Unfortunately we left the camera in the room, but this is almost exactly what the view from our table was (only darker):
The Ferris Wheel was really cool. Lake Michigan was also frozen with a full moon over it. It was quite breath taking, but mostly because I was thinking about how cold it had to be for that much water to be frozen.
It was also super bowl weekend. And if we didn't know it already, our view certainly should have tipped us off. There were two other buildings, but those pictures didn't come out so well. Sadly though, as hot as this cold town is for their team, the Bears lost the superbowl. But the Chicagoians don't seem too distraught. They were singing the Bears song on TV even after they lost. Maybe next year.
